Career offices announce single, integrated career management system

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Career offices from across Penn State announced the development of Nittany Lion Careers, a collaborative, University-wide career management system.

Nittany Lion Careers will become the single career-management network for all students, alumni and talent recruiting organizations. This effort will merge multiple portals across University colleges and campuses into one central platform.

This initiative is the result of a coordinated effort between Penn State Career Services, a unit of Student Affairs, and all of the individual college and campus career offices. The system provides a seamless experience to all students and alumni, enhances customer service for recruiting

New research highlights how financial barriers impede career development in the creative industries and make the workforce less diverse.

The social enterprise Creative Access surveyed 1,900 people “working in, or looking to pursue, a career in the creative industries”.

Of these, 77% said financial concerns had stopped them applying for a better creative job.

Cornell Career Services, the central career services office at Cornell University, is the college winner of the 2023 National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) Award for Technology Excellence for its Career Development Toolkit.
